4/14/2024 0 Comments Hollow knight radiance wallpaperthe tell for phase 2 happening, left and right side spikes, are not divable as far as I know and they will stay there until you stagger her when she's doing one of those walls, mostly phase 1, sometimes it might disappear and another one will appear quickslash is really useful as you can jump and slash twice before landing, instead of needing to use your double jump and get risky Keep in mind that she will quickly teleport to the middle when she's about to die, which can catch you off guard if you're pogoing on her. Some cases might have you dashing on the other side, mostly as a stall. ![]() Most of the time you'll just sit on one side while doing this unless you're doing the full pogo approach, which is actually riskier imo. Last phase is mostly about offscreening the orbs, either via max double jumps or pogoing ontop of her. Your best bet is to get on the right timing and bait them out as you go (usually in this case you'll jump a bit away from the next platform and dash onto it). The climb itself is kind of straightforward but a bit of an annoyance sometimes. Doing this will make the spikes disappear while you'll take no damage, also giving time for shade dash to reset.įor the climbing phase, I'm fairly sure that the rays there have a slightly larger hitbox than the ones she uses previously. This actually helps immensely if you're dodging horizontal swords or a wall and are heading in the direction of ground spikes. One other thing I should mention is that you can dive the spikes during the first phase with the right timing. Getting this timing down will help a lot with avoiding damage and making use of opportunities. ![]() If she's in phase 3 and about to do one of these right next to you (you're on a platform and she's right in your face) use dive. Once you find a safe path through either of those attacks (as they end, usually) you can go back to poking her. This is the best time to stop jumping and prepare to dodge. The 3 attacks that come from around her (circular swords, lightrays and homing orbs) usually have her lifting her head just before doing them. Quite a few of the attacks actually have tells. Sound helps a lot with reacting to attacks that might come from offscreen (yes, even if they might be slow, you could be in a poor spot or without shade dash by the time they reach you), whereas if you chase her, you risk getting yourself in a poor spot or essentially countered by one of her attacks (this applies the most to phase 3). Learning how to position yourself is the only skill you actually need to deal with this boss, but that obviously comes after knowing what attacks she's even going to throw at you.įirst of all, play with sound. The boss has no contact damage and just teleports around, with the only threat being the attacks themselves. With that being said what I used was Strength, Quickslash, Mark of Pride and some 2-notch charm (usually soul catcher, but it hardly matters on radiant).Īs far as the fight is concerned, it's heavily based on good positioning more than anything. I'm going to start by saying that I actually didn't use a spell focused charm setup for AR, mainly because staying in the air to use spells that often was way too risky in my eyes due to the speed at which some attacks can come out, not to mention that it often leaves you in a poor spot. I'm sure you already know or do a lot of these though. ![]() The following tips come mostly from my own experience so they aren't absolute by any means, just a lot of testing around and preference. That combined with Quickslash makes the whole deal a lot easier. If all you care about is getting the radiant clear then there's always the option of overcharming with Grubberfly's Elegy.
